Barrry M - A Touch Of Magic Lip Paint Review

Hey Guys,

This is a very old product so it probably has many many reviews but I thought I would still do one. After looking at it for ages and sampling it on my hand in boots every time I went in I decided to buy Barry M’s lip paint in “A touch of magic”.

My first thoughts of the product were that it was a little strange. I would say to myself “why would I want a green lipstick”. However, it obviously does not come out on your lips green. There is some chemical in the lipstick (which I am not sure of) reacts with the alkaline levels on your lips to make a personalised pink colour. This is such a cool design, who does not want a personalised lipstick to match your skin?

A few things that are not too good with this lipstick, because it changes so easily it can become quite bright and look strange. So if you are going for a down toned look then this lipstick may not be the best idea.
The lipstick also stains your lips when you wear it, which can be a good thing if you want to have your lipstick on all day but if you are like me and like to take lipstick of rather than reapply it, this can be a problem because it does remain a faded version of the same colour.

I do like using this product because every day it is a mystery which type of pink it will be. I love seeing the results even if sometimes it is a bit bright. It has very good quality and stay in the lips well. It is a great choice if you do not know which lipstick to wear some days.

I’m going to stop rambling now haha

Talk to you all soon.

Got2b Oil-Licious Review

Hey guys,

Its been a while since I last posted on here, so I thought I would do a few reviews on the things that I have been using lately.

The first one I am going to show is the Got2b Oil-licious tame and shine styling oil.

The first thing I noticed was that the bottle was very small which has come in handy for traveling. It is only a 50ml bottle, I'm not sure if there are bigger versions of this but it is very cute.

On the back it reads - "Does sleek, glossy hair feel like a distant dream? Make it reality with new Got2b oil-licious tame and shine styling oil. The non- greasy formula with Argan oil absorbs instantly and can be used for 1) extra care pre-wash 2) better manageability pre-styling (damp hair) 3) sleek finished styles (dry hair). Journey to hair oasis!"

I have been using the oil when my hair is damp, to tame the fly a ways  and add shine. In my hair it does tame the fly a ways quite well. But I haven't noticed about the shine.

I love the smell of this product, it doesn't smell of oil at all and is very pleasant. But I am not to sure about how to describe the smell ( sorry ).

When you put the oil into your hand and rub it in to the hair, it does absorb quickly and you can feel the difference. It has defiantly added more moisture to my hair which is what I wanted. However all hair is different so you may not get the same results as me.

The only problem with the product like any other oil product for hair, it is easy to use to much and make the hair look greasy.

Overall I like the product and will keep using it and would recommend it to others.

Hopefully this review was helpful. Let me know if there is anything you want me to review.

Gatsby 20s Love

Hey guys,

I am a huge fan of the 20s, everything about them seems so amazing. How all the women looked perfect, their clothes, how you could buy anything for a remotely cheap price, everything. They just seemed to live a more interesting life then we ever could in today time. They had more fun things to do and nearly everyone was able to do them.

Therefore, when the great Gatsby came out in cinemas after already reading the book, I obviously had to see the film. Now after seeing the film, I just want it to come out of DVD! YouTube clips just do not cut it anymore; I need to see the whole film.

I love how their makeup and hair 1was flawless. I wish I were able to do my make up like them. I will just have to practice more until I get it right. It’s too bad most of the clothes the people wore back then are not in style anymore because I would defiantly wear them. I think I was born in the wrong era.

There’s a makeup tutorial, if you want to look like you is from the 20s,

This is an amazing video tutorial and is easy to follow. Michelle Phan is such a good make up artist, make sure to check out her other videos.

Greggs Halloween Cakes

Hey guys,

This may be one day late but I had to show them. As it was October, shops have been selling Halloween things. And I took a trip to Greggs the bakery, as I do every year with a friend and got one of their Halloween doughnuts.

Their doughnuts are so eye catching and delicious, I could not resist. Sadly, they will not appear in shops again until next year, but make sure you get one.  They are filled with jam and have faces on them. They look so creative and are perfect for a Halloween treat.

The best thing about Greggs is that they make their cakes and other foods as health as they can. (Including the icing) so that make buying one even better.

Fake Nail After Care Routine

Hey guys

After I have worn fake nails, I feel like I need to take extra care of my nails. I’m sure I’m not the only person that does. So this is how I take care of my nails.

First of all I put some nail varnish remover onto a cotton pad and work off some of the remaining glue, not much will come off but the loose bits will. Then I like to leave them for a few hours just to air.

After this, I take some nail clippers and take of the ends if they are long and any hang nails that have appeared.

When the nails are cut I then take a nail file which also has sides to even out the face of the nail, then smooth, buff and shine the nail like below;

(sorry about the condition of the file, it is rather old and well used)

With the nail file, first I file down the edges to make sure they are straight and how I like them. When this is done, I then take the nail file and file the face of the nail to remove the majority of the nail. When this is done as well, I then take the other sides of the nail file and rub them again along the faces of my nails. This will make them smooth and shiny. This is great.

After this, I apply a nail hardener. After using fake nails, they feel brittle to me. Right now, I love using Barry M’s 3 in one base coat, top coat and nail hardener. It works very well and keeps a good shine.

That is pretty much it. Other than in the next few days I would remove the varnish and do the steps again if needed and re apply the nail hardener. To make sure all the glue is removed and the nails are back to how they used to be.

Hope this helps,

House of Holland - Tweed Nail Review

Hey Guys,

I am a huge fan of Henry Holland and when he announced that he was going to be selling fake nails; I thought I would give then a try. I bought the tweed ones to start with (but I want to try his Poka Dot It nails).

These nails come with glues, instructions and even a nail file, which is very handy. The nails are easy to apply and have a matt finish to them. So do not worry if you think you have strange nails there are different sizes of nails hidden under the tweed.

The glue works quickly and sticks well. The glue even feels strong. You only need to apply pressure to the nails or around four seconds for them to stick.

There are only two down sides to these nails
1. If you do a lot of work with your hands, they are a bit long and awkward.
2. If you have wide nails, some of the original nail may show. (Like below)

This is what the finished nails look like:

I love these nails, the fit quite well and stick very well which is what you want for fake nails. As you can see in the photos, the nails are very long. However, you could just trim them down if you want smaller nails and then file them into their pointed shape if that’s how you like them.
